Anysize Wine Rack

This is a concept I am working on for wine bottle storage which can fit in to any size cupboard or opening. The horizontal and vertical pieces change size, within given parameters, to allow the racks to be produced into an almost infinite range of widths and heights. 

I designed a calculator in Excel which can work out the dimensions each piece needs to be resized to. I am imagining that this could become a mostly automated production process, where the customer inputs the size of space they have to fill and the parts are resized, quantities calculated and automatically nested and maybe even sent directly to the laser cutter.

This concept could potentially work for other types of bespoke storage for example vinyl records or book shelves.
