Miele Dishwasher Switch Cover

This simple little piece solved what I can only decribe as a design flaw on our dishwasher; the on off switch is touch sensitive and can be activated by just accidentally brushing with your leg, ending a cycle half way through. The L shaped profile covers the switch and prevents this happening.

The timing notes embossed into the front refer to power consumption spikes during the wash cycle. With our off grid, power supply set up, it is important not overload the system by using more than one high power draw appliance at any one time. 

It would be quite hard to produce this without a 3d printer, it is a personal product for a very niche problem. To me, it demonstrates a practical use of the technology. 

I also had to learn to use the embossing tool in Fusion 360 for this. The switch cover is actually incredibly useful for our household and we refer to it daily.
